Sustainable mobility
Transport accounts for almost 19% of global CO2 emissions. We encourage the development of affordable, low-emission transport solutions and, to that end, form partnerships to promote vehicles powered by natural gas and electricity.

CarPlug
The CarPlug recharge terminal is a real success story. It can charge electric cars a lot more quickly than other options. The technology behind it was developed through a partnership between Belgian start-up Powerdale, ENGIE Electrabel and ENGIE Cofely.

Compressed Natural Gas
We encourage the use of natural gas vehicles and support the development of a CNG refuelling station network. In that framework, we are partner in the Enora company. We supply CNG to tens of well-known filling station operators and we even run our own CNG refuelling stations.
Did you know? In 2015, a total of 425 tonnes of CNG was consumed from ENGIE Electrabel’s CNG refuelling stations, enabling vehicles to travel some 7 million kilometres whilst reducing their environmental impact.
