As the operator of Belgium's two nuclear power stations, ENGIE Electrabel regularly receives questions about safety. We have no problem with that, because safety is our number one priority! Unlike what some sources sometimes claim, our nuclear power stations are safe and comply with all standards and requirements. This is constantly checked and confirmed by national and international authorities. Unfortunately, certain facts are sometimes taken out of context, leading to misperceptions. We think that's a shame.

Each and every day some 4,000 internal and external employees at the Doel and Tihange nuclear power stations work on safety and security of supply, and they do so with pride and devotion. It is precisely for that reason that we also think it important to keep you as well informed as possible and to avoid misunderstandings wherever possible.

Hereunder you will find answers to 50 frequently asked questions about our nuclear power stations.
